Laurence S. Kurth

Larry Kurth was born on January 7, 1954, and grew up in Delaware. He graduated from the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Design in 1976. While at the College of Wooster, Mr. Kurth completed independent study on public transportation issues. Mr. Kurth attended St. Mary's University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor on the St. Mary's Law Journal. He graduated with a J.D. in 1981. After spending a year as a Briefing Attorney for Judge Tom Davis of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Mr. Kurth joined the Houston office of Fulbright & Jaworski. He transferred to the San Antonio office in 1986, and became a partner in 1990. He served as the head of the First-Party Litigation Section until he left in November 1990 to become a partner in Jones Kurth, Andrews & Ortiz. Mr. Kurth is certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is also licensed in the states of Oklahoma and Colorado.
